MotoGP rookie Ai Ogura has been disqualified from the Argentina Grand Prix after his Trackhouse Aprilia was found to be using non-approved software. Despite his impressive performance, climbing from 15th to 8th place, the Japanese rider lost his hard-earned points due to a technical rule violation.
MotoGP rookie Ai Ogura has been disqualified from Sunday’s Argentina Grand Prix due to a technical rule violation.
Ogura had an impressive performance, as he fought his way up from 15th to an 8th place. However, his hard-earned points were taken away, as the race officials discovered that his team had used software that wasn’t approved for the championship.
According to an official statement from the race stewards at Termas de Rio Hondo, Ogura’s bike was running a non-approved version of software. This violated the regulations outlined in Article 2.4.3.5.3 of the FIM Grand Prix World Championship rules, which govern the Electronic Control Unit and Inertial Measurement Unit.
This disqualification is tough for the Japanese rookie, who would have earned eight championship points for his strong performance. Despite this setback, Ogura has already shown his talent and determination for the upcoming races.
