MotoGP Fabio Di Giannantonio VR46 Racing Team jerezmotogp Motogp 2026 Season
Opening session for MotoGP was very calm, there were no interruptions, yellow or red flags. All drivers managed to finish really close to each other, within 1.6 seconds. Second and third place were taken by Morbidelli and A. Marquez.
Maverick Viñales didn’t participate in this session due to his shoulder surgery. KTM’s reserve driver Dani Pedrosa has problems with his hand so the team was missing one motorcycle. Team TrackHouse showed new colours as they announced new sponsor SuperFile. Most drivers had soft tire in front with medium or soft rear tire.
23 minutes until the finish was A. Marquez leading with M. Marquez not so far behind. But in Turn 6 Toprac Razgatliogu faced technical problems. It didn’t affect the session, he safely went off track and then into pits. Right after that, Marco Bezzecchi set a really strong time and got on the second place dividing the Marquez brothers with only 0.015 seconds behind A. Marquez.
12 minutes before the end there was only Brad Binder on track but he didn’t manage to set a representative time as he made a small mistake and aborted his fast lap attempt. M. Marquez was still in lead with his time he drove in his fifth lap of the session. Three minutes before the end Fabio Di Giannantonio topped the standings with his teammate Franco Morbidelli right behind. During that time, other drivers as Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller faced breaking problems in Turn 1 and Turn 6, the most problematic in Jerez.
After the session, when the drivers tested their starts, Jorge Martin fell off his bike, but he got up quickly and didn’t seem injured.
