Fernando Alonso has expanded his extraordinary car collection with a truly special addition.

The two-time Formula 1 world champion has reportedly taken delivery of the unique Pagani Zonda Roadster, a bespoke version of one of the most iconic hypercars ever built. Created by Horacio Pagani, the car is believed to be worth close to $10 million and exists as a single example.

The Diamante Verde is powered by a naturally aspirated 7.3-litre Mercedes-AMG V12 engine producing around 760 horsepower. Finished in green carbon fibre, it is regarded as one of the most exclusive Zonda models ever created.

A particularly personal detail makes the car even more special. Following the recent birth of his son Leonardo, Alonso's new Zonda includes a custom child seat designed in the colours of his racing helmet.

The Zonda joins an already remarkable collection that includes the Aston Martin Valkyrie, the Aston Martin Valiant and the legendary Ferrari F40.

For Alonso, who has long been known for his passion for high-performance cars, the one-of-a-kind Pagani may be the most extraordinary addition to his garage yet.
