Ferrari has unveiled its new Formula 1 car, the SF-26, ahead of its first run at the team’s Fiorano test track in Italy. The car will be driven by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc as Ferrari begins a fresh push under the sport’s new 2026 regulations after a difficult season last year.
Ferrari has shown off its 2026 Formula 1 car, which is called the SF-26. The team revealed the car online on 23 January 2026, just before it was due to run on its own test track in Fiorano, Italy.
The SF-26 has been built for the new rules that start this year in Formula 1, and it will be driven by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Both drivers were present as the car was unveiled and prepared to drive it for the first time during the short shakedown session.
Ferrari chose to reveal its car in its usual way, with images and video shared online rather than a large public event. After the reveal, the car went straight to the Fiorano circuit to complete its first kilometres.
The team has worked on the SF-26 for many months, focusing on the new technical regulations and a new power unit that uses more electrification and sustainable fuels. The car also has updated aerodynamics compared to last year’s model.
The new livery of the SF-26 features a slightly lighter red colour with white details, which is a small change from recent Ferrari cars.
Ferrari hopes the SF-26 will be more competitive than last year’s car, after a season in which it finished fourth in the constructors’ championship and did not win a race.
