The FIM, IRTA, and Dorna Sports have officially confirmed the inclusion of the Indian Grand Prix in the 2026 MotoGP calendar. Initially slated for 2025, the event will now serve as a reserve race as MotoGP looks forward to delivering a world-class experience at the Buddh International Circuit.
The FIM, IRTA, and Dorna Sports have confirmed that the Indian Grand Prix will officially be part of the 2026 MotoGP calendar, but will also serve as a reserve event for 2025.
Due to operational challenges, the race has been pushed from its original 2025 date. With no other openings later in the season, MotoGP will make its return to India in early 2026.
MotoGP and InvestUP are dedicated to bringing a top-tier event back to Buddh International Circuit, reaffirming India’s status as a hub for global sporting events.
