The French team finally confirmed, what people have been whispering in the paddock throughout the last months. Jack Doohan joins Alpine for 2025 as another rookie on next season’s grid. He will drive alongside Pierre Gasly.
Jack Doohan, a young promising talent will become another Aussie on next season’s grid as he signs with Alpine for 2025. The son of five-time 500 cc motorcycle world champion Mick Doohan, first gained attention in the Formula 4 and Formula 3 championships. Later on, Doohan joined the Red Bull Junior Team but sacrificed that to become a part of the Alpine Academy. He showed his potential once again in Formula 2 where he stood on the podium many times in 2023 and finished third in the overall driver’s standings. In 2024 he fulfills the position of a reserve driver for Alpine.
Next year will be a big challenge for him as he will become another rookie on the grid, same as his colleague from F2, Oliver Bearman. “It’s exceptionally satisfying to be the first graduate of the Alpine Academy to be in a race seat with the team and I’m extremely thankful to those who supported me along the way to make this a reality. It’s an exciting moment, a proud day for my family, and I look forward to taking it all in and pushing hard behind the scenes,” said Doohan.
Alpine is very proud to promote Jack Doohan to the full-time seat and believes that with him and Pierre Gasly, they will have a well-balanced line-up, which will be hungry for points and possibly fight for podiums.
