Lando Norris has now officially been given his trophy for becoming the 2025 Formula 1 world champion.
The presentation took place at the FIA’s end-of-season gala, which this year is being hosted in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The trophy itself is a well-known piece of F1 history, made from sterling silver and first introduced in 1995. Every world champion has their signature engraved on it, and Norris’s name was added in advance of the ceremony, recognising him as the 35th driver to earn the title in the sport’s 76-year history. He’ll keep the famous trophy for a year before returning it so it can be prepared for whoever wins the 2026 season.
McLaren also enjoyed its share of celebrations, collecting the Constructors’ Championship trophy once again, with the team logo appearing on it for the second year in a row and tenth time overall. Oscar Piastri stepped up to receive his trophy for finishing third in the Drivers’ standings, rounding off a strong season for the team. Max Verstappen, who ended the year in second place, wasn’t able to attend the event because he was unwell, leaving his trophy to be accepted in his absence.
