The final pre-season test of the 2026 MotoGP season took place at the MotoGP circuit in Buriram, Thailand. The test was held at the Chang International Circuit. This was the last chance for teams and riders to prepare before the first race of the season.

The fastest rider over the test was Marco Bezzecchi. He rides for Aprilia Racing. On the final day, he set a new lap record of 1:28.668s. This was the fastest lap ever recorded at the Buriram circuit in MotoGP. His lap was very strong and clean, and it showed that Aprilia has made very good progress with their bike.

Second place went to Ai Ogura, who rides for the Trackhouse MotoGP Team. Ogura was only a very small amount of time behind Bezzecchi. This result meant that two Aprilia bikes were at the top of the time sheets. It was a very positive test for the Aprilia project.

Third fastest was Marc Márquez, riding for the Ducati Lenovo Team. He was fastest earlier in the day before Bezzecchi improved the time. Márquez also had a crash during the session, but he was not injured. Despite this small incident, his pace was competitive and showed that Ducati will again be strong this season.

Fourth place went to Francesco Bagnaia, also riding a Ducati. He focused on race pace and long runs during the test. Fifth was Alex Márquez, who continued to show consistent speed. Sixth fastest was Pedro Acosta on a KTM. KTM showed steady progress but was slightly behind the leading pace.

The test was not only about fast single laps. Teams also worked on race simulations, tyre management and bike set-up. Aprilia looked strong both over one lap and during longer runs. Ducati also showed good race speed, even if they did not finish first overall. Other manufacturers continued testing new parts and different settings to improve performance.

Conditions at the Buriram circuit were hot and demanding. This helped teams understand how their bikes will perform during the Thai Grand Prix weekend. The data collected during these days will now be analysed carefully by engineers.

In conclusion, the Buriram test ended with Marco Bezzecchi on top and a new lap record for Aprilia. These results suggest that Aprilia and Ducati could be the main challengers at the start of the 2026 season. All teams will now prepare for the opening race in Thailand with important information from this final test.
