McLaren Racing has confirmed a multi-year technology partnership with Intel.

As part of the agreement, Intel will become the Official Compute Partner of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team and the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team. The company will also serve as an Official Partner of the McLaren F1 Sim Racing Team.

The partnership is focused on the use of Intel’s computing technologies to help McLaren process and analyse large volumes of data. According to the team, Intel’s systems will provide a secure and scalable computing platform, including trackside edge computing designed to support real-time analytics and race strategy decisions during race weekends.

Intel branding will make its debut on McLaren’s Formula 1 cars at next weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal.

The branding will also appear on one of the Arrow McLaren IndyCar cars at this year’s Freedom 250 and at the Indianapolis 500 starting from 2027.

In esports, Intel branding will be displayed on the McLaren F1 Sim Racing Team’s simulators during the final event of this month’s F1 Sim Racing World Championship. From the 2027 season, Intel will also feature on the team’s virtual livery.

“Performance in IndyCar and Formula 1 racing is driven by technology, and partnering with Intel strengthens our ability to innovate at scale,” said Zak Brown, Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Racing.

“Intel has already been an important part of our technology ecosystem, and their leadership in computing will play a critical role in how we design, build, and race our cars. We’re excited to deepen this relationship even further.”
