In April, we saw a major announcement as Jorge Martin will join Aprilia Racing on a multi-year deal starting from 2025. Just two days later, Ducati revealed the signing of Marc Marquez, who will join the factory team, shaking up the grid even further.

Before the Dutch Grand Prix, Aprilia Racing announced Marco Bezzecchi as Martin’s future teammate, finalizing their new factory line-up. In Assen, Pramac and Yamaha revealed plans to join forces in 2025, bringing Yamaha its much-anticipated Independent Team. After the Dutch Grand Prix, Gresini confirmed a contract extension for Alex Marquez.

In the summer, Trackhouse Racing extended Raul Fernandez’s contract, followed by Joan Mir, who renewed his stay with HRC.

Ahead of the British Grand Prix, Yamaha extended Alex Rins’ contract, meaning he will continue as Fabio Quartararo’s teammate in the upcoming seasons. Ducati also confirmed Fabio Di Giannantonio, who will join the Pertamina Enduro VR46 team in 2025, with Franco Morbidelli as his teammate. Meanwhile, Trackhouse Racing added Ai Ogura to their squad for next season. Shortly after, at Aragon, IDEMITSU Honda filled their seat by signing Thai rider Somkiat Chantra, who will replace Takaaki Nakagami.

Heading into the final phase of signings, Miguel Oliveira was confirmed as a Prima Pramac Yamaha rider, with the recently announced Jack Miller as his teammate.
