The Faenza-based team has strengthened its technical leadership by bringing in one of the most experienced aerodynamicists in modern Formula 1.
Racing Bulls have confirmed the appointment of Dan Fallows as their new Formula 1 technical director.
Fallows joins the team from outside the Red Bull system and will report directly to chief technical officer Tim Goss. In his new role, he will oversee the overall technical direction of the car, working across design, aerodynamics and on-track performance as Racing Bulls look to take the next step in competitiveness.
“I’m very pleased to be joining VCARB at an exciting time for the team,” Fallows said in the statement. “There is a clear vision and strong technical ambition, and I’m looking forward to working closely with Tim and the wider engineering group to help drive performance and continue building the team for the future.”
Fallows brings with him more than two decades of Formula 1 experience. He spent 15 years with Red Bull Racing, where he rose through the aerodynamics department to become chief engineer, playing a key role in the team’s rise to championship-winning success. Prior to that, he worked with the Milton Keynes outfit during its Jaguar era in the early 2000s.
In 2022, Fallows moved to Aston Martin F1 Team as technical director, a high-profile switch that initially sparked contractual tensions with Red Bull. His tenure in Silverstone ended in late 2024 following a difficult season for the team, after which he briefly focused on independent engineering projects through his own company, Hiperformant.
Racing Bulls team principal Alan Permane believes Fallows’ arrival will add valuable depth and experience to the technical group as the squad prepares for the next phase of Formula 1’s regulatory cycle.
“Dan has a wealth of experience, and his technical understanding and leadership will be a real asset to the team as we continue to develop and push forward competitively,” Permane said. “We’re delighted to welcome him to VCARB.”
With Fallows now in place alongside Tim Goss, Racing Bulls are clearly reinforcing their technical structure as they aim to convert long-term planning into consistent on-track progress.
