Formula 1 has officially confirmed that the Austrian Grand Prix will remain on the calendar until at least 2041. A new long-term agreement has been signed with the race organisers, securing the future of the event at the Red Bull Ring for many years to come.
This extension marks one of the longest contracts currently in Formula 1 and reflects the strong partnership between F1 and the Austrian promoters. The Red Bull Ring, located in the Styrian mountains, has hosted the race since its return in 2014, following major investments and renovations led by Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz.
F1 President Stefano Domenicali welcomed the news, calling the Austrian Grand Prix a special part of the Formula 1 calendar. He praised the commitment shown by the organisers and the passion of the local fans, which have helped create a unique and consistent atmosphere each year.
Mark Mateschitz, continuing the work of his late father, said he is proud to help secure the long-term future of the race. He highlighted the importance of keeping motorsport alive in the region and thanked the local community for its continued support.
The new agreement means that the Austrian Grand Prix will continue to play an important role in Formula 1's future, offering fans exciting racing in one of the sport’s most scenic locations.
