Formula 1 F1 Miami 2026 F1 season Andrea Kimi Antonelli

Kimi Antonelli strengthened his position at the top of the 2026 Formula 1 drivers’ championship following a strong points haul during the Sprint weekend at the Miami Grand Prix.

After four rounds of the season, the title picture has taken clearer shape. Antonelli remains in control of the standings after winning the 2026 Miami GP, increasing his total to 100 points and building a 20-point gap over his Mercedes team-mate George Russell, who sits second on 80.

Ferrari continue to chase, with Charles Leclerc now third on 59 points. However, the Monegasque lost ground after a costly post-race penalty in Miami. Lando Norris moves up to fourth place with 51 points, now level with Lewis Hamilton, who completes the top five after another consistent weekend for Ferrari.

Oscar Piastri holds sixth position with 43 points, keeping both McLaren drivers firmly in the fight near the front. Max Verstappen’s difficult start to the season continues, with the Red Bull driver only seventh on 26 points after Miami.

Further down the order, Oliver Bearman is eighth with 17 points, just ahead of Pierre Gasly on 16. Liam Lawson rounds out the top ten with 10 points for Racing Bulls.

Outside the top ten, Franco Colapinto (7 points) continues to score valuable points, while several drivers, including Fernando Alonso, are still yet to open their accounts this season.
