An unnamed Formula 1 driver has reportedly been mentioned in a large Italian investigation into an alleged escort network involving dozens of Serie A footballers and wealthy VIP clients.

According to reports from Italy, based on wiretapped conversations and court documents, one intercepted exchange included a request for an escort on behalf of a “friend who drives in Formula 1.” In the same conversation, there was allegedly a reply saying a woman could be arranged. However, no identity has been revealed, and no Formula 1 driver has been officially named or charged in connection with the case.

The story was first reported in Italy by La Gazzetta dello Sport, which stated that the reference to Formula 1 remains unconfirmed and anonymous.

Italian reports suggest the alleged organisation was run by an agency based in Cinisello Balsamo, near Milan. The business reportedly presented itself as an events company arranging exclusive nights at luxury clubs in and around the city.

Investigators also believe the group promoted its services through the Instagram page, which was reportedly followed by several Serie A players. Trips to destinations such as Mykonos were also allegedly organised.

The alleged network is said to have offered luxury entertainment for footballers, entrepreneurs and other wealthy clients over a number of years, including during the Covid-19 pandemic.

At this stage, much of the information remains based on leaked investigative material and media reports. Authorities have not publicly identified any Formula 1 figure connected to the case, and there is no confirmation that any current driver is involved.
