Italian MotoGP rider Fabio Di Giannantonio had a very strange problem during qualifying for the French Grand Prix at Bugatti Circuit. A bee flew into his helmet while he was trying to set a fast lap time.

The Ducati rider was hoping to start the race from the front row of the grid. He looked very quick during qualifying and was fighting for one of the best positions. However, the bee inside his helmet distracted him and stopped him from completing a perfect lap.

Di Giannantonio later explained that he could not fully concentrate because of the insect. He also said his tyres were already worn out by the time he made his final attempt. In the end, he finished qualifying in fourth place, which means he will start the race from the second row.

The session was already tense before the strange incident. Several riders were trying to use slipstreams from other bikes to improve their lap times. Di Giannantonio was also involved in a small on-track battle with Marc Marquez as both riders wanted the best position on the circuit.

Another Ducati rider, Francesco Bagnaia, was investigated after qualifying because officials believed he may have slowed another rider. The stewards later decided that no punishment was needed.

Even though he missed out on the front row, Di Giannantonio stayed positive after qualifying. He said his pace was strong and he still believed he could fight for a good result in both the Sprint race and the main Grand Prix.

The French MotoGP weekend at Le Mans has already produced plenty of drama. Ducati riders have been testing new aerodynamic parts on their bikes, while changing weather conditions have also made the circuit difficult for many teams.

Di Giannantonio has been one of Ducati’s strongest riders this season and continues to fight near the top of the championship standings. A front-row start would have helped him, but he will now need to make up positions during the race.
