Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur says the team is “evaluating all options” regarding Lewis Hamilton’s race engineer for the 2026 Formula 1 season, leaving the door open to a potential change.
Ferrari have confirmed that a change of race engineer for Lewis Hamilton is not off the table ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Team principal Fred Vasseur has admitted that the Scuderia are currently reviewing their structure and “evaluating all options” to ensure Hamilton has the strongest possible support going into the new regulations era.
Hamilton has worked with Riccardo Adami since joining Ferrari, but their cooperation has been discussed several times following a demanding season and a number of tense radio exchanges.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Ferrari want to be absolutely certain that the communication and understanding between Hamilton and his technical team is at the highest possible level.
For now, Ferrari have not confirmed whether any change will happen, but the message is clear: every detail is being analysed as the team prepares for 2026.
