Johann Zarco has received some good news during his recovery from a serious knee injury. After a recent medical check, doctors decided that he does not need surgery. Instead, he will continue a rehabilitation programme to help him regain strength and fitness.

Zarco visited specialist doctor Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet in Lyon to assess the condition of his left knee. The medical team was pleased with the progress he has made since his crash. They believe his recovery is going well, so surgery is no longer needed at this stage.

The 35-year-old rider will now focus on physiotherapy and exercises to strengthen his knee. He will continue working closely with his doctors before making any decision about returning to racing. More medical checks will take place over the coming weeks.

If everything continues to improve, Zarco hopes to return to MotoGP action in September. His team, Castrol Honda LCR, is happy with the latest update and is looking forward to welcoming him back when he is fully fit.

Zarco is one of the most experienced riders on the MotoGP grid and is a two-time Moto2 World Champion. His experience and speed have made him an important rider for Honda, so the team wants to make sure he returns only when he is completely ready.

For now, Zarco's main goal is to continue his recovery. Avoiding surgery is a positive step, and both the rider and his team hope he will be back racing later this season if his rehabilitation continues as planned.
