Ferrari has completed a filming day at the brand-new Madring circuit in Madrid, becoming the first Formula 1 team to drive on the venue that will host the Spanish Grand Prix for the first time later this year.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton shared driving duties in the SF-26 during the promotional event, with Ferrari allowed to complete up to 200 kilometres of running under Formula 1's filming day regulations.

The 5.4-kilometre, 22-corner semi-permanent circuit combines public roads with newly constructed sections around Madrid's IFEMA exhibition centre. The track is designed to offer a blend of fast, flowing corners and technical sequences, and will replace Barcelona as the home of the Spanish Grand Prix.

Madring is set to make its Formula 1 debut on September 11-13, when it stages the inaugural Madrid Grand Prix.

Following the historic first laps, Ferrari shared exclusive onboard footage from the filming day on its social media channels, allowing fans to experience the new circuit from the driver's perspective for the very first time.
