Sky and MotoGP have agreed a new long-term deal that will keep Sky Sport as the home of MotoGP in Italy until the end of 2027, offering fans full live coverage across all classes.
Sky and MotoGP have agreed a new deal that will last for many years. This deal means Sky Sport will remain the home of MotoGP in Italy until the end of 2027.
Italian fans will be able to watch all MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 races live on Sky and NOW. Some races from all three classes will also be shown free on TV8, so more people can enjoy the sport.
The main channel for fans will be Sky Sport MotoGP. This channel has been showing MotoGP for more than ten years. Every race weekend, Sky offers around 30 hours of live coverage. This includes practice, qualifying, races, expert analysis, rider interviews and special programmes made only for MotoGP fans.
The new season will start early in the year. From January, Sky Sport will cover the Shakedown Test and the first official MotoGP test in Sepang, Malaysia. Fans can watch everything on channel 208, with high-quality pictures, modern technology and a strong team of presenters and commentators.
Sky Italia CEO Andrea Duilio said Sky is very proud to continue working with MotoGP. He explained that MotoGP has been a very important sport for Sky for 11 years. He also said Sky will continue to use the best technology to bring the excitement of motorcycle racing into fans’ homes.
MotoGP boss Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, also praised Sky Sport. He said MotoGP is growing around the world, with bigger TV audiences, more fans and record-breaking crowds at races. He believes partners like Sky are very important because they help fans feel closer to the action.
Sky does not only show races. Fans can also find live news, interviews and MotoGP shows on Sky Sport 24. There is also full coverage on the Sky Sport website, mobile app and social media pages.
With this new agreement, Italian MotoGP fans can look forward to top-level coverage, expert stories and full live racing all the way through 2027.
