Triple World Superbike champion Toprak Razgatlioglu will take his first steps in MotoGP this Sunday with a private Yamaha test at Aragon. The Turkish rider is set to join Pramac alongside Jack Miller as he prepares for the 2026 season.
Toprak Razgatlioglu, the triple World Superbike champion, is about to start his new career in MotoGP. He will take part in a private Yamaha test at Aragon this Sunday and Monday. This will be his first time on a MotoGP bike since 2023.
After the Aragon test, Razgatlioglu will meet his new MotoGP rivals on track for the first time at the official post-season test in Valencia on November 18. Injured Marc Marquez will not take part in that test.
It is possible that Aragon will not be Razgatlioglu’s only extra track time this year. As Yamaha is expected to keep its full testing privileges, which include private test days for its riders. According to other media, Razgatlioglu, who will race for Pramac alongside Jack Miller next season, may return for another private test before the winter testing ban begins on December 1.
The winter ban ends with the Sepang Shakedown from 29 to 31 January. All Yamaha riders can attend this, followed by the official Sepang test from 3 to 5 February.
Yamaha has not yet confirmed if it will use a new V4 engine in 2026 instead of the current inline-four. It is also unclear which bike Razgatlioglu will use for the Aragon test, which happens on the same weekend as the Portuguese MotoGP.
Razgatlioglu last tested a MotoGP bike in early 2023 with Yamaha, before moving to BMW and winning two more World Superbike titles.
Meanwhile, Razgatlioglu’s former rival Nicolo Bulega will get his MotoGP race debut first. He has even been called up to replace the injured Marquez at the Portimao and Valencia rounds.
