MotoGP has had a very successful 2025 season, with more fans than ever before. Even though two famous European races saw fewer people attend, the championship still reached record-breaking numbers overall.

This was the largest MotoGP season in history, with 22 races around the world. In total, 3,660,716 spectators went to the circuits during the year. This is the highest attendance MotoGP has ever had.

Several races broke their own records. The biggest crowd came at the French Grand Prix at Le Mans, where 311,797 fans attended over the three days. This was the biggest MotoGP race weekend ever.

The race that gained the most new fans was the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez. It welcomed 43,131 more spectators than in 2024, showing how strong MotoGP remains in Spain.

Many other races also saw good growth, including Thailand, Indonesia, Japan and Qatar. When comparing races held in both seasons, the average weekend crowd increased by more than 7,000 fans per round.

Some events, such as Argentina, Brno, Hungary and Valencia, were new or returning races and helped boost the total attendance.

However, two races had clear declines in attendance. The British Grand Prix at Silverstone had 18,539 fewer fans than in 2024. The Austrian Grand Prix saw the biggest fall, with 32,627 fewer spectators at the Red Bull Ring.

Weather, travel costs and a busy summer calendar may have affected these events.

MotoGP also grew strongly away from the circuits. TV viewing figures increased by 9% per race, while Sprint races were especially popular, with audiences up by 26%. Fans watched over one billion minutes of MotoGP content on YouTube during the season.

Dorna also said that more than half of MotoGP fans are now under 35, showing that the sport is attracting younger viewers.

Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta said 2025 was a very important season for the sport. He praised the record crowds, digital growth and exciting racing as signs that MotoGP is in a strong position
