Pedro Acosta has called on KTM to find solutions to its recurring technical issues after another frustrating MotoGP weekend at Assen. The Spanish rider suffered multiple bike problems, including a stuck throttle, which he described as a serious safety concern.
Pedro Acosta has called on KTM to improve its reliability after another difficult weekend at the Dutch Grand Prix.
The young Spaniard faced several technical problems at Assen, which ruined his preparation for the races. His bike stopped during practice on Saturday, and he then suffered another issue in qualifying. The problems left him only eighth on the starting grid.
Acosta was unable to challenge for the top positions in the sprint race. He finished ninth after a tough afternoon and collected just one championship point.
The KTM rider was particularly worried because one of the problems caused the throttle to become stuck. This is a serious issue for any motorcycle rider, as it can affect control of the bike at high speed.

After the session, Acosta said KTM needed to find answers. He explained that the team has experienced several technical failures this season and believes the situation must improve.
According to KTM team boss Aki Ajo, a sensor may have been responsible for the problems at Assen. However, Acosta was not fully convinced and said he still wanted a clear explanation.
The 22-year-old also pointed to earlier setbacks this year. In Barcelona, an electrical problem contributed to an incident involving Alex Marquez. More recently, a separate fault forced him to retire from the Czech Grand Prix.
Acosta admitted that the lack of track time made his weekend even harder. Because of the repeated issues, he completed very few laps before the sprint race. This meant he had little chance to work on his bike setup or build confidence around the circuit.
His race became even more difficult when he made a mistake early on and dropped down the order. Despite this, he fought back strongly and managed to return to the top 10 by the finish.
Although disappointed with the result, Acosta saw some positives. He felt his pace was competitive and believed he had the speed to battle with riders further up the field if the technical problems had not interrupted his weekend.
KTM now faces increasing pressure to solve its reliability concerns. Acosta remains one of MotoGP's most promising young riders, but he wants the team to provide a bike that is both competitive and dependable. Until those issues are fixed, he fears similar problems could continue to affect his results.
