The alt sprint session of the 2025 season is here. And as always the riders underwent warm up lap, that went luckily uneventful and the short race could begin.

The start went well for Márquez who took the lead into turn 1, but also Acosta had a good start improving to 2nd place. The bad start was for Bezzecchi, who from pole positions dropped to 6th place. Raul Fernández had good start, as he managed to improve to 3rd place.

On lap 2, there was first yellow flag of the session, as Mir took out his teammate Marini with him, crashing out. After first lap the top 10 looked as following: Márquez, Acosta, Raul Fernández, Di Giannantonio, Quartararo, Bezzecchi, Morbidelli, Aldeguer, Miller, Binder.

On lap 3 there was a contact between Miller and Aldeguer, and some part of the bike broken.

Meanwhile the race stewards announced that the incident between HRC Honda riders will be investigated after the session. Bagnaia in that time received a track limit warning, with still majority of the sprint left.

Jorge Martín was late on the brakes, and went out from the track, yet he managed to return. On lap 5, the race stewards announced that Jack Miller received a 3 positions drop for causing a contact.

With the sprint being half way done? Márquez made a gap over 1.65s to Acosta, while Raul Fernández was still in 3rd place with Di Giannantonio behind him. The top 10 looked as following: Márquez, Acosta, Fernández, Di Giannantonio, Bezzecchi, Quartararo, Morbidelli, Binder, Miller, Ogura.

Joining the club, Martín also received a track limit warning. Yet he was in the last positions. Meanwhile at the front, there was a battle for 3rd between Fernández and Di Giannantonio.
On lap 9, the race stewards announced that Miller now received a long lap penalty, as he failed to drop 3 positions.

With 2 laps to go, the battle for 3rd place got intense, as Di Giannantonio was really close to Fernández. Di Giannantonio even overtook Fernández for a moment, but Fernández took it back quickly. Yet at next turn, Di Giannantonio had successful overtake moving to the last podium position.

And it was official, Márquez won the last sprint of the season in Valencia, with Acosta in 2nd and Di Giannantonio rounding out the podium.
