Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has confirmed that Fabio Di Giannantonio will race for the team from the 2027 MotoGP season. He will be Alex Marquez's teammate, as both riders have signed multi-year contracts with the Austrian manufacturer.
Di Giannantonio has become one of the strongest riders in MotoGP in recent years. He is currently fighting near the top of the 2026 championship and has already won two MotoGP races. His latest victory came in Barcelona this season, after taking his first MotoGP win in Qatar in 2023.
The Italian rider made his MotoGP debut in 2022 after moving up from Moto2. Since then, he has improved every season and has earned a reputation for being fast, consistent and calm under pressure. His strong performances have helped him secure a place in KTM's factory team.
Di Giannantonio said he is very happy to join Red Bull KTM. He thanked the team for believing in him and said he is excited about the new challenge. He also said he is ready to work hard and help KTM fight for race wins and championships in the future.
KTM believes Di Giannantonio has everything needed to succeed. The team has praised his speed, experience and steady progress in MotoGP. Together with Alex Marquez, KTM hopes to build a strong rider line-up for the new MotoGP era, which begins in 2027 with new technical regulations.
Alex Marquez was announced as a KTM rider shortly before Di Giannantonio's signing was confirmed. The two experienced MotoGP riders will lead the factory team into a new chapter as KTM aims to return to the front of the grid and challenge for victories on a regular basis.
