Marc Márquez is one of the greatest riders in MotoGP history. He has won the world title seven times in the top class. But the Spanish rider says his racing career may end earlier than many people think.

Márquez is now 32 years old. He believes his body will tell him when it is time to stop, not his mind. He explained that mentally he still feels very strong and full of energy. However, after many injuries over the years, his body has suffered a lot.

In an interview with Spanish TV channel La Sexta, Márquez said that choosing the right time to retire is very difficult for any athlete. He said the hardest part is knowing when to stop and how to do it properly. He believes his body will push him harder than his mind in the future.

Márquez made an incredible comeback in MotoGP. In 2020, he suffered a serious arm injury that almost ended his career. After several surgeries and years of pain, many people thought he would never return to his best level. But last season, he proved everyone wrong by winning another MotoGP world title.

After missing the final four races of the 2025 season because of a shoulder injury, Márquez starts the 2026 season as the clear favourite to win the championship. He is currently riding for Ducati, but his contract ends at the end of the year. Many believe he will sign a new deal, even with big rule changes coming in 2027.

Márquez also spoke about family life. Recently, he said he would like to become a father one day. However, he admitted that he would not want his child to become a motorcycle racer. He explained that children who grow up with everything may not have the same hunger or motivation to succeed.

Despite thinking about retirement one day, Márquez is still focused on racing. Each year, he says he will check how his body feels. As long as he can compete at the highest level, fans can expect to see him fighting for wins and titles.
