Marc Márquez has returned to the track again for the first time since his crash in Indonesia last October.
The MotoGP champion was injured at the Mandalika circuit when Marco Bezzecchi hit him during the race. Marc hurt his shoulder badly and needed surgery. Since then, he has been following a slow and careful recovery plan.
At first, Marc trained on a mountain bike. Then he moved to dirt track and motocross. Now, he is finally back on normal racing tarmac. He rode a Ducati Panigale V2 at the Aspar circuit in Valencia. The weather was cold, but Marc still looked comfortable on the bike.
Ducati test rider Michele Pirro was also there. Former MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo joined them too. Lorenzo now works with Maverick Viñales, who was also training at the same circuit.
On the same day, young rider Fermin Aldeguer sadly suffered a broken femur bone. His team, Gresini, has not yet said how long he will be out. The MotoGP pre-season test in Sepang starts in February.
Marc’s younger brother, Alex Márquez, is expected to ride at the Valencia circuit on Friday. Alex finished second in last year’s MotoGP championship.
Marc Márquez’s return is very important for MotoGP fans. His ride in Malaysia will be his first time back on a MotoGP bike since his accident on October 5. Many people are excited to see if he can return to full strength for the new season.
Marc’s recovery shows his strong determination and love for racing. If everything goes well, he could soon be ready to fight again at the front of MotoGP.
