SQ1

The first part of qualifying lasted 12 minutes, and all drivers were required to run on the yellow medium tyres. Isack Hadjar was first out and briefly led with a time of 1:34.856. Nico Hülkenberg soon improved on that, while Max Verstappen eventually set the fastest lap. Some drivers had laps deleted, including Gabriel Bortoleto for exceeding track limits in Turn 19.

In the closing minutes, a queue formed in the pit lane as everyone wanted clear track for a final push. Leclerc, Gasly, Ocon, Colapinto and Bortoleto were all in danger, with Bortoleto yet to set a valid lap. Yuki Tsunoda worried he would miss his last attempt, and a traffic jam even formed at the final corner. Leclerc just made it out for one last lap, but Tsunoda, Bortoleto, Bearman, Lawson and Ocon could not.

Eliminated in SQ1: Oliver Bearman, Franco Colapinto, Yuki Tsunoda, Esteban Ocon, Gabriel Bortoleto.

SQ2

The second segment ran for 10 minutes, and again drivers had to stick to the medium tyres. Max Verstappen went out first and set a solid 1:33.163. Lando Norris quickly took over as the fastest, while Ferrari struggled with Leclerc and Hamilton only in ninth and tenth after their early laps.

Several drivers only completed one flying lap, including Hulkenberg, Lawson, Gasly and Hadjar, which then put them in the risk of elimination. Lawson struggled with his car and track limits, and his lap was deleted. Leclerc managed to advance just in time, while Hamilton held onto the final spot to progress.

Eliminated in SQ2: Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Isack Hadjar, Pierre Gasly, Lance Stroll, Liam Lawson.

SQ3

The final shootout lasted only 8 minutes, with all drivers now switching to the softest tyre available. George Russell was first out and immediately set a benchmark of 1:32.888. Carlos Sainz went close behind him, with Alex Albon in third. The rest of the field soon followed, while Russell had to manage his car carefully. Nico Hülkenberg set a very fast lap and briefly led the times.

Lando Norris then posted faster sector times and moved into first place. Oscar Piastri slotted into second behind his teammate. Finally, Max Verstappen produced a 1:32.134 to claim pole position for the sprint, with Lando Norris joining him on the front row. The second row will be Oscar Piastri and Nico Hulkenberg.
