MotoGP will celebrate the start of the 2026 season with a free public launch event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bringing racing, music and culture together in the heart of the city.
MotoGP will launch its 2026 season with a big public event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 7 February. The show will be free for fans to attend and will also be streamed live around the world.
For the first time, MotoGP will take over the Kuala Lumpur City Centre area and the streets around it, turning the city into a celebration of racing, music and culture. The famous Petronas Twin Towers will be the main background for the evening show.
From 2 to 7 February, fans can visit a special MotoGP fan zone inside the KLCC Shopping Mall. It will be open every day from 10am to 10pm and will include bike displays, interactive activities and unique MotoGP experiences for visitors of all ages.
The main launch event will happen on the evening of 7 February, between 7pm and 10:30pm. It will begin with a Pit Box-style bike display at the KLCC entrance, where fans can see the 2026 MotoGP bikes up close. Later, the action will move under the Twin Towers for an urban bike run, rider presentations on the main stage and live music entertainment.
MotoGP boss Carmelo Ezpeleta said Kuala Lumpur is the perfect city for such an event because of its energy and modern spirit. He added that MotoGP is excited to share this special moment with fans in Southeast Asia.
Some music acts and local celebrities will be announced closer to the date. After the launch, the teams and riders will travel to Buriram in Thailand for the final pre-season test on 21 and 22 February. With the season getting closer, MotoGP is ready to start 2026 with a spectacular city celebration in Kuala Lumpur.
