Racing Bulls will use a special Japan-inspired livery at the upcoming Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, combining modern design with traditional elements.
Racing Bulls have introduced a completely reworked livery for the Japanese Grand Prix, stepping away from their usual colour scheme in favour of a design that pays tribute to local culture and contemporary Japanese style.
The Faenza-based squad revealed the new look during the Red Bull Tokyo Drift event, using the occasion to connect directly with fans and showcase a car that reflects both the host nation and the brand’s latest creative direction. The design takes clear inspiration from Red Bull’s Spring Edition can, translating its visual identity into a striking trackside presence.
Dominated by white, red, and yellow tones, the livery stands out sharply against the more familiar designs on the grid. The artistic concept was developed in collaboration with renowned Japanese calligrapher Bisen Aoyagi, whose influence can be seen in the fluid, expressive elements integrated across the car’s bodywork. Drivers Arvid Lindblad and Liam Lawson were both present at the launch in Tokyo, underlining the team’s effort to engage with local fans ahead of one of the most popular races on the calendar. In addition to the car, Racing Bulls will also wear specially designed team apparel that mirrors the livery’s visual identity throughout the Suzuka weekend.
The project reflects a broader trend in Formula 1, where teams increasingly use special liveries to celebrate key races and strengthen their connection with regional audiences.
“As a team, we’re always looking for ways to connect with fans and cultures. Together with Bisen Aoyagi, we turned the Spring Edition idea into something unique for the track," said the Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer
