Red Bull has signed an eight-week deal with McDonald’s, with the logo set to appear on the RB21 cars at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Red Bull has announced a new partnership with McDonald’s, bringing the fast-food chain into Formula 1 for the first time. The famous golden arches will appear on the RB21 cars of Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil. This is the first time McDonald’s has featured in a Grand Prix race.
As part of the partnership, a McDonald’s restaurant in Sao Paulo will be transformed into a special ‘Red Bull pitstop’ at the drive-through. From October 21st, Red Bull drinks will also be available in McDonald’s restaurants across Brazil. The McDonald’s logo will be displayed on the cars’ halo and in the Red Bull garage for the full eight-week duration of the deal.
Red Bull is also planning public events to celebrate the collaboration, and an exclusive animated series has been created to showcase the partnership. The deal is short-term, but it brings another major brand into Red Bull’s sponsorship portfolio.
