Max Verstappen’s long-time front-end mechanic Ole Schack is set to leave Red Bull, according to information from PlanetF1.

The Danish mechanic has been part of the team since its early days and has attended every Formula 1 race since 2005, making him one of the most experienced members of the trackside crew.

PlanetF1 reports that Schack has informed the team of his intention to move on and look for a new challenge. Talks are still ongoing about when exactly he will leave, with the mechanic said to be pushing for a shorter notice period.

His decision is believed to be linked to recent changes inside Red Bull, including leadership reshuffles and the departure of several key figures.

Schack has worked closely with Verstappen during his most successful years in Formula 1 and has been a consistent presence in the garage for two decades.

His expected exit follows other major departures in recent months, including former team principal Christian Horner, who left the team last summer, advisor Helmut Marko, lead strategist Will Courtenay and chief designer Craig Skinner, highlighting the scale of change within Red Bull. In previous years, the Milton Keynes-based squad was also left by figures such as Adrian Newey and Jonathan Wheatley.
