The 2025 MotoGP season calendar has been released, starting in March with the opening race in Thailand. The season finale will take place in November at the usual venue in Valencia.
The FIM and MotoGP have revealed the provisional calendar for the 2025 MotoGP season, promising a year with 22 Grands Prix races across 18 countries. Fans can look forward to the return of classic venues like Brno in Czechia, while Hungary makes its debut with Balaton Park. According to the MotoGP's statement, the calendar has been structured to balance global reach with social and economic considerations, ensuring an efficient season.
After pre-season testing in Sepang and Buriram, the season kicks off with the Thai Grand Prix, becoming the first Southeast Asian season opener in 25 years. The action then heads to Argentina’s Termas de Rio Hondo before moving to the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
As the European leg approaches, the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar will host a race following Ramadan, before MotoGP returns to its European roots at Jerez, followed by the French Grand Prix at Le Mans. As confirmed earlier, Silverstone’s British Grand Prix finds a new spot at the end of May, with the Aragon GP following two weeks later.
The mid-season will see back-to-back races, starting with Mugello in Italy and Assen in the Netherlands. From there, riders head to the Sachsenring in Germany before making a long-awaited return to Brno in Czechia.
After a short summer break, racing resumes in Austria at the Red Bull Ring. Hungary’s Balaton Park will then make its MotoGP debut, followed by Catalunya and the San Marino GP at Misano, wrapping up the European rounds for a short while.
As the season draws to a close, the action shifts back to Asia, with Japan’s Motegi circuit leading the charge. Lombok’s Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia is next on the list before a quick break for teams to regroup. The final stretch of the season sees Phillip Island hosting the Australian GP, followed by the last flyaway race at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit.
The season then returns to Europe for the season’s finale, with the penultimate race taking place at Portimão, Portugal. The season will close at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, marking the end of another year of MotoGP racing.
