Aprilia could soon have a new title sponsor in MotoGP, with reports linking the Italian team to an important deal with Monster Energy for the 2026 season. The company is already one of the biggest names in motorcycle racing and has worked with several top MotoGP teams over the years.

At the moment, Aprilia Racing is the only factory MotoGP team without a title sponsor. While teams such as Ducati, Yamaha and KTM all have major commercial partners in their official names, Aprilia has continued to race under its own brand.

Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola recently admitted he was disappointed that the team had not yet secured a naming partner, especially after the strong results the factory achieved in recent seasons. The Italian manufacturer has become one of the leading forces in MotoGP, taking race wins and fighting near the top of the championship standings.

A possible partnership with Monster Energy would be a major step forward for Aprilia. Monster is already deeply involved in MotoGP through sponsorships with riders, events and teams. The energy drink giant has been Yamaha’s title sponsor since 2019 and remains one of the sport’s most visible brands.

The timing of the rumours is also important. MotoGP is entering a new commercial era following Liberty Media’s takeover of the championship. Many people inside the paddock believe the sport now has a bigger chance to attract global sponsors and increase its international popularity, similar to Formula 1.

Aprilia’s recent performances make the team a more attractive option for sponsors. Riders Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi have helped the factory become a regular front-runner, while the RS-GP bike has shown strong pace at several circuits. The team has also invested heavily in developing its future MotoGP project ahead of the big 2027 rule changes.

Although no official announcement has been made yet, speculation continues to grow that Monster Energy could join Aprilia in a title sponsorship role from 2026 onwards. If the agreement happens, it would give Aprilia extra commercial power and place the team alongside the biggest factory operations in MotoGP.
