Brazilian rider Diogo Moreira will join the MotoGP World Championship in 2026 with the LCR Honda Team. After strong seasons in Moto3 and Moto2, the young talent from São Paulo is ready to race at the highest level of motorcycle sport.
Young Brazilian motorcycle racer Diogo Moreira will join the MotoGP World Championship in 2026. He has signed a multi-year deal with Honda Racing Corporation. He will race for the LCR Honda Team, next to experienced rider Johann Zarco.
Diogo Moreira was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2004. He started racing in the World Championship in 2022, in the Moto3 class. In Moto3, he raced 39 times, won one race, got three podiums, and started from pole position two times.
In 2024, Diogo moved up to Moto2 and was named Rookie of the Year. In 2025, he became one of the top riders in the championship. He won races in Assen, Austria, and Indonesia, and had five more podiums.
Now, he is ready to take the next step into MotoGP, the top level of motorcycle racing.
Diogo said in the team statement:
