Lando Norris has revealed that he hopes to remain with McLaren for the rest of his Formula 1 career, describing the team as his "family" despite admitting that the desire to keep winning will always be part of his motivation.

The Briton joined McLaren's junior driver programme in 2017 before making his Formula 1 debut with the team in 2019. Now tied to a long-term contract, Norris says he has no plans to leave the Woking-based outfit anytime soon.

Speaking on the Beyond the Grid podcast, Norris said he could see himself becoming one of the rare Formula 1 drivers to spend an entire career with a single team.

"Very, very likely, because I don't know how long I'm going to be in Formula 1," Norris said when asked whether he could stay loyal to one team throughout his career.

"My contract is for quite a few more years, so I know I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. If there is ever one place I'd maybe want to go one day, it's only one place, but that's something for the very, very distant future," Briton continued.

Norris stressed that his focus remains entirely on McLaren, saying the team means far more to him than simply a place to race.

"Right now, I'm fully committed to McLaren. It's the only team I want to be with, and I see them as my family. I want to achieve as much as I can with McLaren and stay here for as long as possible—five years, ten years. I'm very, very proud and happy to be able to say that, and not many drivers in Formula 1 history have been able to," the McLaren driver added.

While Norris admitted that every driver wants to compete for victories and championships, he insisted that success alone would not determine his future.

"For me, the goal is to be with McLaren forever, but I also love winning, so until that time comes, you never know. But even when I wasn't winning, I didn't win for six years, I could have gone somewhere else, and I didn't, because at the end of the day, I just want to enjoy what I'm doing," Norris concluded.
