Free Practice 2 and Qualifying in MotoGP were full of surprises, with changing weather and dramatic crashes. Marc Márquez led the way in tough conditions, while Zarco and Viñales fought hard to make it through Q1. Here's a quick recap of all the action before the big race.
FP2
Free Practice 2 mostly serves as a warm-up before qualifying. However, today it started in the rain. This made the lap times much slower compared to yesterday. As the 30-minute session began, riders were cautious and went out slowly.
The first recorded lap times were in the 1:33 range, with Miguel Oliveira being the first to set that pace. As the session progressed, lap times improved. Marc Márquez and Pedro Acosta were the first riders to break into the 1:28s. Jack Miller was just behind them in third, continuing his strong form from yesterday.
However, Acosta didn’t stay in the lead for long. Maverick Viñales took over the top spot, but soon Marc Márquez set a very fast lap and went back into the lead.
Both Fabio Quartararo and Francesco Bagnaia were outside the top 10. But since this was only a practice session, the main focus remains on qualifying. Alex Márquez finished the session in 5th place, just behind Jack Miller.

Q1
In Q1, the two fastest riders move on to Q2. The riders in this session included Johann Zarco, Maverick Viñales, Miguel Oliveira, Luca Marini, Fermín Aldeguer, Joan Mir, Raúl Fernández, Lorenzo Savadori, Álex Rins, and Ai Ogura.
Lap times started in the 1:29 range, but riders kept improving. Even though the track was wet, some managed to get into the 1:28s. With 8 minutes to go, Zarco and Viñales held the top two spots.
The order stayed the same for the rest of the session, though the lap times improved. In the end, Zarco and Viñales advanced to Q2.

Q2
Q2 also started in wet conditions, and right away there was a yellow flag due to a crash by Jack Miller in Sector 2. The rain became heavier, which made the lap times slower than Q1.
Despite the weather, riders pushed hard. With 8 minutes remaining, Marc Márquez was in the lead. Zarco continued his great form from Q1 and was in 2nd, followed by Marco Bezzecchi in 3rd. At this point, Miller and Viñales still hadn’t set a time. Bagnaia was in 10th place, and Alex Márquez, still recovering from hand surgery, was in 5th.
Marc led with a time of 1:28.083. Bezzecchi improved and moved into 2nd, with Franco Morbidelli just behind him. Miller, despite his early crash, climbed to 9th, while Quartararo dropped to 11th, just behind Bagnaia.
Later, Zarco jumped back to 2nd place. At the end of the session, Morbidelli crashed and caused another yellow flag. Still, Quartararo managed to improve and finish 7th.
