The sprint race was delayed because of bad weather. While the riders waited, race officials allowed them to change their bikes to a wet setup if they wanted to.

Ten minutes after the scheduled start time, the riders began the warm-up lap. After a clean warm-up, the sprint race officially began.

Marc Márquez had a strong start, but he made a mistake at Turn 1 and ran wide. Johann Zarco, who was in second place, dropped down to fourth. Fabio Quartararo took advantage of the situation and moved up to third. Fabio Di Giannantonio also made a smart move, getting behind Marc and taking fifth place. Franco Morbidelli had a good start and climbed into second place. Meanwhile, Marco Bezzecchi, who was in third at first, took the lead.

On lap 2, Zarco had fallen to 10th place. Marc Márquez and Di Giannantonio were battling for fourth. Francesco Bagnaia, who started in 11th, dropped one more place, making it an even worse day for him.

On lap 3, there was a fight for seventh between Jack Miller, Alex Márquez, and Brad Binder. A yellow flag came out after Morbidelli crashed in Sector 3. Miller passed Alex to move into sixth, but Alex quickly took the spot back a few corners later.

On lap 5, Marc Márquez overtook Di Giannantonio and moved into third place. Then Pedro Acosta also passed Di Giannantonio and took fourth.

After his crash, Morbidelli was taken to the medical center. With 7 laps completed, not much was happening at the front. Marc was pulling away from the group behind him. Meanwhile, Alex Márquez and Brad Binder were still fighting for seventh. Acosta made a small mistake and lost his position.

In the end, Marc Márquez made a strong comeback and won the sprint race. Jack Miller finished in a surprising fifth place. The podium was completed by Marco Bezzecchi in second and Fabio Quartararo in third.
