The start went well for Marc Márquez, who held his lead into the first turn. Behind him was Zarco, who also had a good start, but Alex Márquez managed to make up some positions after the start, moving to 3rd place. Bezzecchi had a bad start as he dropped from 4th place to 14th.

After the first lap, the top 10 looked as follows: M. Márquez, Zarco, A. Márquez, Di Giannantonio, Acosta, R. Fernández, Bastianini, Binder, Aldeguer, Marini.

Martin, who managed to overtake Alex Márquez at the end of the first lap, had technical difficulties into Turn 1, and he dropped down the field and retired from the sprint.

Meanwhile at the front, Alex Márquez managed to overtake Zarco and moved to 2nd place. The fastest times were in the 1:37s range. On lap 3, Di Giannantonio overtook Zarco and moved to 3rd place. Shortly after, Zarco lost another two positions to Raúl Fernández and Pedro Acosta, dropping to 7th. To dramatize the sprint, raindrops were seen in some parts of the circuit. At the front, Alex caught up to Marc and was preparing an overtake on his brother.

With 6 laps to go, Alex overtook his brother and moved to the lead of the sprint. The top 10 order was as follows: A. Márquez, M. Márquez, Di Giannantonio, R. Fernández, Zarco, Bastianini, Acosta, Aldeguer, Binder, Marini.

The first yellow flag of the sprint session was caused by Torpak Razgatlioglu, who crashed and took Savadori down with him. Shortly after this incident, Marc Márquez crashed out as the track was too wet, so he went into the pits to switch to a wet-weather bike. While some riders stayed out on track, they began crashing as the slick tyres struggled in the wet conditions. Both Alex Márquez and Jack Miller crashed out of the sprint race. Meanwhile, the rest of the field started swapping their bikes for wet setups.

With 3 laps to go, Aldeguer was leading the race, but he was also the only one still on slick tyres. Catching him were Bagnaia and Marc Márquez. Bezzecchi also crashed out and retired from the sprint. Meanwhile, Marc Márquez overtook his teammate to return to the lead of the session.

Jack Miller was given a double long lap penalty for speeding in the pit lane. With one lap remaining, the top 10 order was as follows: M. Márquez, Bagnaia, Morbidelli, Di Giannantonio, Binder, R. Fernández, Quartararo, Marini, Zarco, Rins.

And it was Marc Márquez crossing the finish line first, with his teammate Bagnaia finishing in second and Morbidelli rounding out the podium. In 4th place finished Binder, who managed to overtake Di Giannantonio.
