The final practice session before the Singapore Grand Prix was close, lively and full of action from start to finish. The hour began with Oliver Bearman first out on track, soon joined by Esteban Ocon, Yuki Tsunoda and Franco Colapinto. The early laps were set on medium tyres, but as more drivers joined, the times began to fall quickly.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were fast from the start for McLaren, while Alex Albon had a near miss with Norris as the two crossed the bridge. The track was busy in the opening stages, with all 20 drivers out within the first few minutes, and Norris set an early benchmark time that put him top of the timesheets.

After about fifteen minutes, the red flag came out when Liam Lawson crashed at Turn 7. The Racing Bulls driver hit the wall hard after his car bounced on the kerb, leaving debris on the track. It was his second crash of the weekend, making things difficult ahead of qualifying.

Once the session resumed, drivers quickly returned to the circuit, and the order changed again. Norris stayed near the top, while Carlos Sainz and Oliver Bearman showed strong pace for Williams and Haas. Albon then jumped to second, and Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli surprised many by going fastest with a quick lap on the soft tyres.

As the track temperature dropped and the session moved into its final twenty minutes, more drivers switched to soft tyres for qualifying runs. Charles Leclerc briefly went quickest, but Norris, Piastri and Lewis Hamilton all improved their times. Hamilton moved between the two McLarens but was later reported to the stewards for a possible red flag infringement earlier in the session. George Russell then went second fastest, while Max Verstappen, who had been focusing on longer runs, found extra pace and set the fastest time of the session with a 1:30.148.

When the chequered flag fell, Max Verstappen stayed on top for Red Bull. Oscar Piastri was second for McLaren, only 0.017 seconds slower. George Russell finished third for Mercedes, followed by his teammate Kimi Antonelli in fourth. Lando Norris was fifth, matching Antonelli’s time.

Carlos Sainz finished sixth for Williams, ahead of Isack Hadjar in seventh for Racing Bulls. Lewis Hamilton was eighth for Ferrari, Nico Hulkenberg ninth for Kick Sauber, and Charles Leclerc completed the top ten for Ferrari. The top five were separated by less than a tenth of a second, promising a very exciting qualifying session under the Singapore lights.
