The Sunday race started with sunny weather. Both Franco Morbidelli and Fermín Aldeguer received a long-lap penalty for causing crashes during yesterday’s sprint. After a successful start, the race began.

The start went well for Alex Márquez and his brother Marc Márquez. However, Marc took first place into Turn 1, while his brother tried to take it back at Turn 2, but was unsuccessful. On the other hand, Fabio Quartararo didn’t have an ideal start as he dropped to 4th place. Pedro Acosta started well and used the situation to improve to 3rd place.

After the first lap, the top 10 looked like this: Marc, Alex, Acosta, Quartararo, Bastianini, Marini, Zarco, Ogura, Morbidelli, Bezzecchi. However, on lap 2 there was a yellow flag caused by an incident between Marco Bezzecchi and Morbidelli. While Morbidelli was able to rejoin, for Bezzecchi it was the end of the race. At the front, Bastianini overtook Quartararo, who responded shortly after. However, Bastianini attacked again and improved to 4th place ahead of Quartararo. On lap 3, Fermín served his long-lap penalty and dropped to the back.

On lap 4, Alex Márquez was in first place ahead of his brother Marc. Bagnaia, who hadn’t had a good weekend so far, was running 9th, his best result of the weekend. On lap 5, Morbidelli served one of his long-lap penalties, dropping to 16th place. By lap 6, Alex was followed closely by Marc, Acosta, and Bastianini.

A second yellow flag came out when Brad Binder crashed at Turn 7, forcing him to retire. On lap 9, Quartararo lost his position to Johann Zarco and had to defend from Marini behind. At the front, Alex was still leading, followed by Marc and the KTM riders.

After 10 laps, the top 10 were: Alex, Marc, Acosta, Bastianini, Zarco, Marini, Quartararo, Bagnaia, Ogura, Fernández. A third yellow flag was brought out by Johann Zarco, who crashed at Turn 10 and retired from the race. Fabio Di Giannantonio also retired.

On lap 16, a fourth yellow flag came after Álex Rins crashed in sector 4. At the front, Alex was still leading, followed by Marc, while Bastianini was 0.7s behind in 3rd.

With 6 laps to go, the top 10 were: Alex, Marc, Bastianini, Acosta, Marini, Bagnaia, Ogura, Fernández, Oliveira. Another yellow flag was out in sector 3 and 4 after Morbidelli and Savadori crashed.

With 3 laps remaining, Alex was still leading, while Quartararo was attacking Marini ahead. Into Turn 1, rookie Ai Ogura attacked Bagnaia, moving up to 7th place. A few turns later, Quartararo successfully overtook Marini. Ogura, showing incredible pace, then overtook Marini as well, improving to 6th place.
