MotoGP Toprak Razgatlioglu Motogp testing Pirelli michelin jerezmotogp
Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu will take part in a special MotoGP test in Spain this week. The two-day session at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto will allow teams to try both Michelin and Pirelli tyres as the championship prepares for future technical changes.
Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu is set to take part in a private MotoGP test in Spain this week. The test will happen at the famous Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto and will last for two days. Several MotoGP manufacturers will attend the test, including Yamaha, KTM and Aprilia.
The test is interesting because teams will use both Michelin and Pirelli tyres. Michelin currently supplies tyres for MotoGP, while Pirelli will become the official supplier when the championship introduces new 850cc bikes in 2027. Because of this, teams may test both the current 1000cc machines and possible future bike concepts during the session.
Razgatlioglu is expected to gain more valuable experience on a MotoGP bike during the test. The Turkish rider joined MotoGP in 2026 with the Prima Pramac Racing team, riding a Yamaha machine. He moved to the championship after a very successful career in the Superbike World Championship, where he won three world titles.
Several experienced MotoGP test riders will also take part in the Jerez session. Among them are Andrea Dovizioso, Pol Espargaro and Lorenzo Savadori. These riders regularly help their manufacturers develop new parts and improve the bikes during private tests.
For Razgatlioglu, every test is important as he continues to adapt to MotoGP. The bikes are very different from Superbikes, and the riding style is also not the same. Tyres, electronics and aerodynamics all play a big role in the premier class of motorcycle racing.
Extra track time at Jerez should help the Turkish rider better understand the MotoGP machine and improve his performance during the season. It will also give the teams useful information about tyres and future bike development
