Turkish star Toprak Razgatlioglu will officially race in MotoGP starting in 2026. The two-time WorldSBK champion has signed with Yamaha and will join the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team. After years of speculation and testing, fans will finally see Toprak compete at the highest level of motorcycle racing.
It is official that Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu will race in MotoGP starting from 2026. He has signed a deal with Yamaha and will ride for the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team. Toprak is a big name in the motorcycle world.
He has already won the World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) two times. His first title was in 2021, also with Yamaha.
This exciting news came after the Aragon Grand Prix and before the next WorldSBK race in Misano. On the same day, another WorldSBK rider, Nicolo Bulega, announced that he will become a MotoGP test rider for Ducati in 2026.
Toprak tested a MotoGP bike back in 2023, but he didn’t race in MotoGP at that time. So, fans have been waiting for him to make the move, and now it is finally happening.
In a released statement, Paolo Pavesio, the boss of Yamaha Motor Racing, said: “We are very happy to have Toprak back in the Yamaha MotoGP family. He is the most successful Yamaha Superbike rider ever. Moving to MotoGP is a big challenge, but we believe Toprak is ready. His strong spirit and talent make him a great match for our team.”
In 2026, Toprak will begin this new racing journey. MotoGP fans around the world can be excited to see what he can do in the top class of motorcycle racing.
