Valentino Rossi has confirmed the riders taking part in the 100km of Champions at his Moto Ranch in Tavullia. The popular dirt track race will take place earlier than usual, on 28–29 November, with top MotoGP names, road racing heroes and rising stars ready to battle for the crown.
Valentino Rossi has shared the list of riders who will join the next 100km of Champions race at his Moto Ranch in Tavullia, Italy. This special dirt track event will take place earlier than usual, on November 28–29. It is normally held in January, but the date has changed for this edition.
The race brings together many famous riders from MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, World Superbike and road racing. They come to enjoy a fun weekend of riding and competition at Rossi’s home track. The riders say it feels like a mix of a big party and a serious race.
Six current MotoGP riders are planning to race. These include Pedro Acosta, Jack Miller, Francesco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini. Diogo Moreira will also take part, as he will be racing in MotoGP next year. Last year, Moreira and Thomas Chareyre won the race together, beating Rossi and Marini.
Some expected names will not race this year, like riders from VR46. Franco Morbidelli is still recovering from injury and Fabio Di Giannantonio is not a member of the VR46 Academy, so neither of those will take part.
Other well-known riders will be there too. Yamaha MotoGP test rider Augusto Fernández is on the list. Nicolo Bulega, who recently stepped up for Marc Márquez, will also race. And road racing legends Guy Martin, Dean Harrison and Davey Todd will join the action, bringing even more excitement to the event. There will also be top riders from Moto2 and Moto3.
The weekend begins with a knockout race called the Americana, where riders are slowly removed one by one. Then, on the next day, they race in pairs for 100km. The first team to finish wins the prize and becomes the new Champions of the Ranch. As already mentioned, last year Rossi and Marini finished in second place and Elia Bartolini and Lorenzo Baldassarri were third.
Many fans love to follow this event because it shows the riders in a more relaxed and playful environment. Even though they laugh and joke together, they still want to win, so the race usually has many close battles and big moments.
The full entry list includes: Valentino Rossi, Pedro Acosta, Dominique Aegerter, Senna Agius, David Alonso, Niccolo Antonelli, Xavier Artigas, Francesco Bagnaia, Lorenzo Baldassarri, Barry Baltus, Elia Bartolini, Daniel Bewley, Marco Bezzecchi, Nicolo Bulega, Mattia Casadei, Francesco Cecchini, Thomas Chareyre, Filippo Farioli, Augusto Fernández, Matteo Ferrari, Alessandro Lupino, Federico Fuligni, Filippo Fuligni, Matteo Gabarini, Marco Gaggi, Manuel Gonzalez, Dean Harrison, Chris Holder, Andrea Mantovani, Luca Marini, Guy Martin, Andrea Migno, Jack Miller, Diogo Moreira, Tim Neave, Iván Ortolá, Luca Ottaviani, Mattia Pasini, Matteo Patacca, Lorenzo Pritelli, Tito Rabat, Bradley Ray, Alberto Surra, Davey Todd, Andrea Verona and Celestino Vietti.
This event has now become an important tradition for Rossi and his VR46 Academy. It shows how much he still loves motorbike racing, and how he enjoys helping young riders learn and have fun. The 100km of Champions is always full of passion, speed and smiles.
