Joan Mir has had a very difficult start to the 2026 MotoGP season. He is fast on the track, but he crashes too often. Because of this, he has scored very few points so far.

Mir is a former world champion, so many people know he has great talent. However, racing in MotoGP is not only about speed. Riders must also finish races to collect points, and this is where Mir is struggling.

He explained that the main reason for his crashes is that he is riding at the very limit of his bike. Joan Mir said that when he pushes the Honda machine as hard as possible, mistakes can happen easily.

The Honda bike is not the strongest on the grid at the moment. Because of this, Mir feels he must take more risks than other riders. When he tries to keep up with faster bikes, he often has to brake later and push harder in corners. This increases the chance of crashing.

Mir also said that he enjoys fighting for top positions. When he sees a chance to get a good result, he gives everything. But this aggressive style can lead to mistakes, especially when the bike is difficult to control.

Another problem is the performance of the bike when exiting corners. Mir has explained that the rear of the bike does not always give enough grip. Because of this, he needs to take extra risks when entering corners to stay competitive.

So far in 2026, his season has been very frustrating. In several races, he was in a strong position but crashed before the finish. This means he lost valuable points, even when his pace was good.

Even with these problems, Mir says he has no regrets. He believes that riding at the limit is the only way to compete at the highest level in MotoGP. If he slows down too much, he cannot fight with the top riders.

In the end, Mir’s situation shows how difficult MotoGP can be. Riders must find the perfect balance between speed and control. If they push too little, they are not fast enough. If they push too much, they crash.

For Mir, the challenge now is clear. He must keep his speed, but reduce mistakes. If he can do this, he may start finishing races again and return to the front of the championship.
