The start of the sprint went well for Francesco Bagnaia, who took the lead into Turn 1. Ogura, who had dropped down the order, managed to fight his way up to 2nd place, catching up to Bagnaia.

There was a crash at Turn 1, where Maverick Viñales crashed. Shortly before him, Diogo Moreira crashed from 3rd place. The order after lap 1 looked as follows: Bagnaia, Ogura, Márquez, Di Giannantonio, Bezzecchi, Acosta, Fernandez, Martin, Bastianini, Binder.

Raúl Fernandez made a mistake at the entrance to Turn 1, allowing Martin to overtake him easily. With 3 laps completed, Fernandez and Toprak Razgatlıoğlu received a warning for track limits.

The majority of the riders chose both medium tyres, with some riders choosing a combination of medium and soft tyres.

At the front, Bagnaia started to build a gap to Ogura in second place, while Acosta closed in on Bezzecchi, preparing an overtake. However, Acosta was briefly overtaken by Jorge Martin behind him, allowing Bezzecchi to increase the gap.

With 5 laps to go, Ogura started to slowly close in on Bagnaia, trailing by only 0.595s. Another yellow flag was caused by Pedro Acosta crashing at Turn 11.

With 4 laps to go, the top 10 looked as follows: Bagnaia, Ogura, M. Márquez, Di Giannantonio, Bezzecchi, Martin, Fernandez, Bastianini, Aldeguer, Binder.

Another yellow flag was caused by Marini crashing out at Turn 13. So far, the top three at the front were close to each other.

With 2 laps to go, Marco Bezzecchi crashed at Turn 3. Meanwhile, at the front, Ai Ogura started to make more mistakes.

As the riders entered the last lap, Bagnaia was in the lead, being chased by Ogura and Marc Márquez. Francesco Bagnaia safely secured his sprint victory in Brno, with Ogura taking his best-ever sprint result. Marc Márquez rounded out the podium. Meanwhile, Cal Crutchlow crashed before the end of the sprint.
