Afternoon sprint session started after a quick, uneventful warm-up lap.
The start went well for Francesco Bagnaia, who was starting from pole position. Pedro Acosta was able to improve his position to 3rd place after the start, while Franco Morbidelli lost positions. However, Fabio Quartararo was able to overtake Morbidelli, who a few moments later retook the position.

As this battle continued, Quartararo sent it on Morbidelli, making it dramatic. Joan Mir, who was riding behind this duo, used this moment to sneak in and overtake both riders, improving to 4th place. Shortly after that, even Fermín Aldeguer overtook Quartararo, moving up to 6th position.

After the first lap, the top 10 looked as follows: Bagnaia, Márquez, Acosta, Mir, Morbidelli, Aldeguer, Quartararo, Di Giannantonio, Espargaró, and De Giantompo.

While Bagnaia was creating a gap to Márquez in second place, Acosta was catching up to Márquez, waiting for an overtake opportunity. Further back, Di Giannantonio, who was once in the top 10, was now riding in 12th, with Marini and Bezzecchi ahead of him.

On lap 5, while Aldeguer had been overtaking Morbidelli in front of them, Mir crashed out from 4th place.

Halfway through the race, the top 10 looked as follows: Bagnaia, Márquez, Acosta, Aldeguer, Morbidelli, Quartararo, Espargaró, Marini, Bezzecchi, and Zarco.

On lap 6, there was another crash, this time it was Miguel Oliveira, who had crashed out. However, Bagnaia had created a gap of over 2 seconds, while Aldeguer, riding in 4th place, caught up to Acosta. On lap 7, Aldeguer took Acosta’s podium position into Turn 10.

On lap 8, the third crash of the session happened, this time it was Luca Marini, who also took out Espargaró with him, making it a bad Saturday sprint result for the HRC Honda team.

As the sprint entered its last lap, no major overtakes happened. Bagnaia brought home his sprint victory, while the Gresini duo Márquez and Aldeguer rounded out the sprint podium.
