Formula 1 cars built to the new 2026 regulations hit the track for the first time during a shakedown test in Barcelona, offering an initial look at the new generation of F1 machinery.
The five-day shakedown at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya marked the first on-track running of the 2026 Formula 1 cars. Held behind closed doors, the test focused on system checks, data gathering, and early familiarisation rather than outright performance.
Teams and drivers gradually completed their initial programmes, mainly limited to installation laps and basic runs, with no official timing released. As expected at this early stage, lap times remain largely irrelevant.
This gallery brings together photos of all teams and drivers who took part in the Barcelona shakedown, showcasing the new cars on track.
