QP

Francesco Bagnaia secured a stunning pole position at Misano, smashing the lap record in the process. Bagnaia held a 0.285-second lead, securing P1 on the grid. Franco Morbidelli emerged into P2 in the final five minutes, marking his first front-row start since 2021. Joining them on the front row is Marco Bezzecchi, who continued his strong performance after leading FP2.

Q1 delivered excitement as Alex Marquez topped the timesheets with a late flying lap, securing his spot in Q2. Joining him was Brad Binder, while Pol Espargaro suffered a crash, his second that morning. In Q2, Bagnaia immediately laid down a 1:30.928 as a benchmark, improving by three-tenths on his second lap.

After a brief pit stop, the final runs began with Bagnaia breaking the lap record again. Marc Marquez crashed at Turn 15 with five minutes to go. In the closing stages, Morbidelli and Bezzecchi secured their front-row spots, completing an all-Italian top three.

Jorge Martin will start from the second row, as the rider qualified fourth for the second Grand Prix in a row. Martin faces tough competition on row two, with Pedro Acosta impressively qualifying fifth and Brad Binder rounding out the second row in sixth place.

Alex Marquez will lead the third row from seventh, followed by Enea Bastianini in eighth, as he showed consistent pace all weekend. Marc Marquez, unable to return after his crash, will start ninth. Further back, Aleix Espargaro lines up in 13th, ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio and Pol Espargaro, both of whom will be looking to make up ground in the Sprint and Sunday’s race after a Q1 exit.

Sprint

Jorge Martin extended his Championship lead in style at Misano, fending off early pressure from local favorite Francesco Bagnaia to claim another impressive Sprint victory. Martin, now 26 points ahead in the standings, overtook Bagnaia at Turn 1, leaving the Ducati rider to settle for second. Bagnaia, in turn, held off a late charge from both Franco Morbidelli and Enea Bastianini.

Bagnaia got a strong launch from pole, but Martin’s better start from right behind allowed him to attack. Bagnaia stayed close, with Morbidelli in third. Meanwhile, Bastianini made a great start from P8, moving up to fifth behind Brad Binder and ahead of Pedro Acosta. Marco Bezzecchi struggled off the line, dropping down the order and finding himself behind Marc Marquez, who was also pushing forward.

As Martin maintained his lead with Bagnaia and Morbidelli still within reach, Bastianini overtook Binder to move into fourth, chasing down the top three with nine laps remaining. However, Bezzecchi’s tough race continued as he crashed out, though he escaped uninjured. His teammate, Fabio Di Giannantonio, also crashed out early in the Sprint.

A battle for fifth was brewing between Acosta and Binder, with Acosta eventually overtaking the KTM rider. Meanwhile, Bastianini was closing the gap to Morbidelli, who had started to lose touch with the leaders. At the same time, Marc Marquez passed Jack Miller and soon set his sights on Binder and Acosta ahead, making a move on Binder with seven laps to go and then challenging Acosta for fifth.

As Martin extended his lead, the final lap saw Bagnaia come under pressure from Morbidelli and Bastianini. Bastianini overtook Morbidelli but went wide, allowing Morbidelli to reclaim his position. The three riders closed in on each other, forming a tight battle in the final sector. Meanwhile, Marquez made a decisive move on Acosta, passing him through Curvone to secure fifth place.

In the end, Martin’s performance earned him a 26-point lead. Bagnaia held on for second, with Morbidelli completing the podium. Bastianini finished fourth, while Marc Marquez’s late move secured him fifth ahead of Acosta, Binder, and Miller. Fabio Quartararo claimed the final Sprint point in ninth, edging out Alex Marquez.
