Germany's biggest motorsport weekend has arrived. The 54th running of the 24 Hours Nürburgring is taking place on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife, one of the most demanding race tracks in the world.

Known as the "Green Hell", the Nordschleife stretches for more than 25 kilometres and offers a challenge unlike any other in circuit racing. Unpredictable weather in the Eifel mountains, more than 160 cars in 23 different classes, and nearly 300,000 spectators create one of the most unique atmospheres in motorsport.

This year's event has attracted even more attention thanks to the debut of Max Verstappen. The four-time Formula One world champion will race the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 entered by Team Verstappen Racing in partnership with Winward Racing.

Verstappen shares the car with Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella. All four are considered strong contenders for overall victory in the top SP9 category for GT3 cars.

However, the competition is fierce. Among the leading favourites are Manthey Racing with its iconic Porsche "Grello", defending winners ROWE Racing with BMW, Schubert Motorsport, HRT Ford Performance and Walkenhorst Motorsport.

The Nürburgring 24 Hours is also famous for its extraordinary variety of cars. Alongside GT3 machinery, the grid includes GT4 cars, touring cars, one-make cup entries and experimental vehicles such as the spectacular BMW M3 Touring 24h and the retro-inspired HWA EVO.

Whether you are following for Verstappen's debut, the battle among the world's best GT drivers or the incomparable atmosphere of the Nordschleife, this year's 24 Hours Nürburgring promises another unforgettable chapter in endurance racing.
