Marc Marquez set the pace during Friday practice at the Thailand GP, finishing with the fastest lap of 1:29.165, just ahead of Jorge Martin. With intense competition and last-minute heroics, the session saw riders pushing the limits as they aimed for top positions heading into Saturday's qualifying.
Friday practice in Thailand proved essential for both riders and teams. Marc Marquez led the session and even set a lap time of 1:29.165. Marquez’s effort placed him 0.110 seconds ahead of Jorge Martin, who maintained the strong pace he showed in Free Practice. Martin’s impressive speed secured him a place in the top 10, edging out Enea Bastianini. However, Bastianini managed to bounce back after a fall at Turn 3, finishing with an impressive final lap.

The session was full of action and competition from the start, with Lorenzo Savadori and Bastianini both experiencing minor crashes. Thankfully, both riders were unharmed. Marquez quickly claimed the fastest lap early on, dipping into the low 1:30s along with the leading pack. In a thrilling opening 40 minutes, the gap among the top 15 riders was just 0.445 seconds, setting the stage for an intense final 15 minutes. During this time, Brad Binder briefly took the lead before Pedro Acosta and Fabio Quartararo delivered stronger times. However, in the end, Marquez managed to reclaim the lead.
Francesco Bagnaia rounded out the top four as he primarily focused on his GP24 setup. The reigning champion Bagnaia stayed ahead of Aprilia rider Maverick Viñales, who showed impressive speed throughout the day, even beating Franco Morbidelli in sixth.
Meanwhile, rookie star Pedro Acosta secured seventh. The young rider managed to stay ahead of Alex Marquez, who completed 20 laps and showed strength in the third sector. Marco Bezzecchi, who topped FP1, finished in ninth, with the final spot in the top 10 going to Johann Zarco.
Further back, Brad Binder and Jack Miller are looking to redeem themselves in tomorrow’s Q1 session. Joining them will be Fabio Quartararo and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Meanwhile, Aleix Espargaro had a challenging session, finishing the day 2.218 seconds off the pace, as he mostly remained in the pit box due to his crash in FP1.
